My client, an Accounting business requires a Junior Bookkeeper/Accountant to ASSIST the Accountant.

Duties:

Going out to clients to process their monthly bookkeeping.
In house bookkeeping clients.
Pastel processing up to Trial balance – cashbooks, bank reconciliations, debtors, creditors, petty cash, stock.
Drafting monthly management accounts / reports
VAT calculations & reconciliations.
Payroll calculations & reconciliations.
Preparation of statutory returns – VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and Workmen’s Compensation.
Completion of VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and Workmen’s Compensation registration forms
Attending SARS appointments.
Assistance with tax returns, SARS queries, annual returns and statutory documents – CIPC.

Requirements:
Own transport (no bus routes in Flamingo Vlei)
2 - 3 years relevant experience at an ACCOUNTING PRACTICE
Accounting Diploma/Degree .
Pastel experience essential.
Xero, Quickbooks & Simple pay advantageous
SARS e-filing & e@syfile experience essential
Good understanding of debits, credits & accounting principles.

Fluent in Afrikaans and English.

Salary: R10k- R13k.
