Curro Langebaan has a position available for an Assistant Cook.
Job Description
- Assist the cook with preparing healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks.
- Wash, peel, cut and portion ingredients.
- Serve meals according to the school’s daily schedule.
- Clean the kitchen, utensils, equipment and food preparation areas.
- Follow food-safety, hygiene and allergy-control procedures.
- Assist with receiving, storing and rotating food supplies.
Key Skills / Requirements
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
- Reliable, organised and physically able to perform kitchen duties.
- Comfortable working in a nursery school environment.
- Clear criminal record and required child-safeguarding clearance.
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Previous experience in Hospitality would be beneficial
