SEWING MACHINE MECHANIC - CAPE TOWN

Key Responsibilities: 

• Repair and maintain a range of industrial sewing machines allied sewing equipment


• Set up and test run a range of industrial sewing machines allied sewing equipment


• Keep maintenance records and update maintenance reports


• Conduct running maintenance


• Assist and coach learner mechanics


• Maintain and collect technical data for machinery and equipment


• Adhere and manage preventative maintenance program on minor and major tasks


• Folder repair


• Assist with other tasks within the maintenance department

Key Requirements and Competencies:

• NQF level 4 qualification in repairs & maintenance of industrial sewing machine or equivalent qualification


• 5 years’ experience in the industrial sewing machine maintenance environment


• Knowledge of cutting, fusing, pressing, ironing, hook and bar machines


• Able to work in pressurised environment
