Position for Service Technician (electrical Engineering)
Job Description
Introduction
Reporting to the Area Service Manager, the primary purpose of this position will be the hands-on servicing and commissioning of boilers, i.e. Heavy and Light Fuel Oil, Gas, Coal and Electrically powered boilers,
supervising of panel building and testing. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, willing to
travel regularly (local and abroad) and willing to work all hours.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
ï‚· Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or
ï‚· Trade Certificate (Millwright/Electrical, Instrumentation or electronics)
ï‚· An unendorsed drivers licence.
ï‚· Project Management will be advantageous.
EXPERIENCE
ï‚· A minimum of five years electrical experience in an after-sales-service environment also
covering the following fields: Mechanical fitting, Electronics, PLC controls, Maintenance, fault
finding and Instrumentation.
 Drawing up of wiring diagrams for PLC’s
ï‚· Boiler servicing and commissioning will be advantageous.
ï‚· Sales and Marketing will be advantageous
 Computer literacy-MS Office, Email’s and internet
ï‚· Panel Building, design and layout of electrical panels.
