Job Summary
Position for Quality Control Inspector (engineering/manufacturing)
Job Description
ï‚· Welding Inspector SAIW Level 2 or equivalent.
ï‚· Grade 12/N3 maths and science minimum.
ï‚· Technical background experience and training e.g. technical drawings, welding, boiler making, fitter or turner.
ï‚· Computer competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

 At least 5 – 10 years in a manufacturing environment with heavy engineering i.e. welding & boiler making.
ï‚· At least 5 years satisfactory proof of experience as a SAIW Level 2 Quality Control Inspector with sound knowledge and experience of the QC inspection requirements of the various manufacturing codes for pressure and non-pressure equipment. This should include the Pressure Equipment Regulations and SANS 347 Requirements.
ï‚· Experience in all aspects of welding inspection in a heavy engineering fabrication environment and/or refinery, is essential, with knowledge of Pressurised Systems, Structural Steelwork, RT interpretation, PT, MPI, UT, work with third party and compiling of Data Books.
ï‚· Specifically, the candidate should have had experience in the following: Drawing interpretation, Materials, Machining, Welding, Non-destructive testing, Corrosion protection, Measurement and measuring equipment calibrations.
 A proven track record of experience will be required.
 Original certificates will be required at the interview.
