Position for Plumber To Work Onboard Cruise Ship

We are recruiting!
ASSISTANT PLUMBER
Candidates with the following qualifications are invited to apply:
• A basic plumbing course and have completed a plumbing apprenticeship programme;
• Have at least 3 years’ experience as a qualified plumber in industrial or construction plants as well as knowledge of vacuum toilet systems.
• Basic knowledge of copper welding (brazing).
Onboard duties will include:
• Ensure the efficient maintenance of all sanitary and plumbing equipment onboard under the supervision of the Plumber;
• Daily checking and evaluating of black water and catering machinery parameters and correctly implementing changes where required
All applicants must:
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be a South African citizen and have a valid passport.
• Must be medically fit to work at sea
• Must have a good command of English. Preference will be given to German speaking candidates.
• Able to work under pressure and independently within a larger team and must be able to demonstrate proactive and self-confident behavioural competence.
