What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of our students. This is a full-time, weekday role—no shifts or nights.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A recognised academic and professional nursing qualification from a tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar nursing role.
  • Passion for working with children, combined with compassion and patience.
  • Strong planning, organisational and administrative abilities.
  • A calm and confident approach to problem-solving in emergencies.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with children, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to deliver presentations and staff training sessions.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • clear criminal record.

 

The responsibilities are:

  • Prevent the spread of infectious diseases across the school.
  • Provide on-site assessment and care for sick or injured children.
  • Communicate health concerns effectively with parents and healthcare providers.
  • Track and manage medical records and physical development for each child.
  • Deliver health training to staff (e.g. hygiene practices, handwashing, etc.).
  • Monitor school facilities for health and cleanliness.
  • Promote health education with a focus on preventative care.
  • Maintain clear and organised health documentation.
