Position for Miner (stoping)
Job Description
Grade 12
- Blasting certificate
- Competened A and B
- First Aid
- 5 Years’ Experience as a Stoping Mine
- Leading of the stoping team
- Ensure compliance to legal requirments
- Maintenance of equipment & material
- Permanent support and sweepings within the mine standard
- Quality blast enabled by effective cleaning, support, gas testing and grade control
- Assist during breakdowns and/or emergencies.
- Make sure the working places are examined, safe and supported.
- Effective communication with team members and cleaning shift
- Identify opportunities to improve operations in working place
- Identify risks and manage the risks
- Check, remove and destroy old explosives daily
- Examining of travelling ways, panels, second escape, centre gullies and stope grizzlies, air, water, power
and ventilation services
- Store, lock explosives and transport explosives to workplaces
- Ensure adherence to safety policies, Code of Practices, procedures and standards.
- Ensure the availability of first aid equipment at the workplace place
- Manage and report non-compliances and ensure the correct use of the PPE.
- Participate in incident investigations and submit an incident report in writing when required
Salary 40K - 50K per month
