Position for Managed Freight Operations Manager
Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Managed Freight Operations Manager
Midrand.
Duties Include:
Ensure the overall performance and well - being of the business unit, it staff and its customers
Building and monitoring operational capacity and process to ensure the sustain ability of the managed freight operations at the right cost and quality standards.
All processes are executed within the DQSP framework.
Ensure all own and 3rd party vehicles meet customers quality standards and assist DC operations to pass all external audits.
Ensure that all drivers and 3rd party drivers operate according to the company policy and procedures
Achieve customer services levels as per the Customer specific protocol
Complaints are reviewed operational/supply chain inefficiencies and corrective actions are in place to correct issues.
Cost overruns are approved and investigated with appropriate counter measured insisted to prevent further overruns
All variable cost must be managed in line with budgets (During volume upturn and downturn)
Expenditure is recorded in correct period
The Business unit is consistently compliant with all Company procedures and DQSP guidelines
Process, quality service level and cost improvements are actively pursued and in line with the DQSP process.
