.
- National Building Diploma / Undergraduate Degree Quantity Surveying (BTECH/ BSC).
- Having an Honours Degree is an advantage.
- Drivers License.
- 3 years post qualification as a Quantity Surveyor.

- Registration on the ASAQS (Association for South African Quantity Surveyors)
The responsibilities are:
Cost estimate for construction projects
- Review plans and compile budget of what components are required for the project.
- Interrogate design proposals to determine economies.
- Finalize budgets and submit for approval.
Procurement
- Compile the detailed bill of quantities.
- Sourcing of contractors.
- Design and distribute requests for proposals.
- Conduct quote evaluations.
- Conduct tender evaluations.
- Project Invoice PO’s.
Compile Payment Certificates and Invoices
• Review of invoice and compare to construction value and progress on site.
Cost management of construction
- On payments are approved and processed and capture on system to manage to budget.
- Manage all payments and monitor budget.
- Manage and deal with variation orders.
- In the event of design changes ensure that variation orders and budget increases are approved and tracked.
- Compile cost report per site.
Contractor management
- Track and monitor end times as per contract are adhered to.
Vacant Site Preparation and Management
- Acquire surveyor general diagram to determine boundaries.
- Oversee the enclosure of sites.
- Oversee clean ups and maintenance of sites.
The successful candidate will start on 01 October 2024.
