DRAUGHTSMAN & INTERNAL SALES: ASSISTANT: Qualifications / Skills. • Senior Certificate – with Mathematics and Technical Drawings . • Knowledge of computers and relevant software knowledge – Must have Microsoft Office, TurboCAD &Inventor. EdgeCam & Syspro experience will be an advantage. • Ability to read and draught mechanical technical drawings. Ability to draught production drawings from customer samples . • Sound knowledge of mechanical parts, know-how of where they are used and most importantly how they are machined (turning & milling). Key purpose. Key purpose of the position is to manage the Draughting department and to assist the Internal Sales with day to day tasks. 2. Specific Job Tasks Draughting . 1. Ensure tolerances, special instructions, etc are checked and pointed out before manufacturing. 2. Housekeeping. Internal Sales: 1. Do cutting sketches for all orders consuming raw material blocks. 2. Checking material availability & off cuts before Internal Sales quotes customers. 3. Tracking of customer jobs with production and dispatch and providing feedback to Internal Sales.
