Duties & Responsibilities
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
ï‚· Grade 12 (Required);
ï‚· B.Sc Honours in Geology NQF level 8 (Required).
EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
ï‚· Five (5) years general operational geology and mining experience hard rock, iron ore mining environment (Required);
ï‚· Accreditation with the South African Council for Natural Scientist (Required);
ï‚· Membership with the Geological Society of South Africa (Required);
ï‚· Valid code B driving license (Required).
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
ï‚· Behavioural: Coaching Skills, Business Acumen, Leadership Skills, Management Skills, Performance Management Skills, Financial Management Skills, Analytical Skills, Planning Skills, Organising Skills And Communication Skills;
ï‚· Systems: Microsoft Office, Micro Station, SharePoint, Surpac, Isometrix and Microsoft Projects;
ï‚· Technical: Geological Formation and Rock Types, Ground Water And Water Tables, Rehabilitation Regulations, Environmental Impact Studies And Regulations And Requirements And Interpretation Of Geologic Models.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ï‚· Compile annual operational, capex and labour budgets;
ï‚· SHERQ adherence and compliance;
ï‚· Implement improvement and change initiatives;
ï‚· Performance management;
ï‚· Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships;
ï‚· Conduct geological mapping, capture it on the system and create maps;
ï‚· Create exploration plan and schedule exploration;
