Furthermore the position is required to:
ï‚· Visit existing and new customers and solicit enquiries
ï‚· Review customers specifications and commercial conditions.
ï‚· Liaise with other departments within the company as required e.g. engineering, drawing office, procurement, works, spares etc.
ï‚· Prepare cost and time estimates, including issuing and adjudicating purchase enquiries for bought-out items.
ï‚· Prepare proposals including commercial and technical documents in line with company procedures.
ï‚· Follow-up tenders and securing of orders
ï‚· Plan business trips and travel internationally, predominantly in Africa, to meet with customers
ï‚· Prepare and issue confirmation orders and hand-over to the Projects Department.
Minimum of a technical diploma; or
A proven track record of technical equipment sales in a boiler related environment.
Must have a minimum of three years (3) in an engineering and design environment and/or a minimum of five years (5) of sales experience in a boiler or boiler related industry with focus on the following:
ï‚· Be able to interact with customers at all levels
ï‚· Ability to define project requirements based on customer interaction.
ï‚· Be detail orientated
ï‚· Strong negotiation skills.
ï‚· Have impeccable communication skills, both oral and written in English.
ï‚· Have the ability to work well within a team environment as well as without supervision.
