Position for Electronic Technician
Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities
•Responsible for the execution of project driven electrical and electronic installations and maintenance according to SABS regulations
•Assess the maintenance and electrical requirements of jobs assigned and allocated
•Execute and attend to electrical maintenance tasks, equipment and breakdowns.
•Adhere to safety procedures, operation of equipment and report unsafe practices
•Regularly conduct plant inspections and carry out planned maintenance schedules.
•Conduct monthly safety inspection of equipment
Educational Requirements
•N6, T3 or S4 certificate or equivalent electrical trade qualification.
•At least 5 years’ experience within an electrical/electronic maintenance environment is essential.
Experience Requirements
•Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, electrical regulations as well as applicable municipal by laws.
•Knowledge of and exposure to fault finding and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment will be an advantage.
•Knowledge of computerized maintenance systems
