Role overview

The Curro Technology Digital Transformation team provides advice, professional development and support focused on using appropriate technology to enhance teaching, learning and administration for Curro staff. We partner with a variety of Curro departments and stakeholders to understand requirements and collaboratively explore relevant solutions to meet needs.  

 

The Digital Transformation Co-ordinator is responsible for the co-ordinating the education programmes of Curro staff on how to use technology to enhance teaching, learning, work performance and work more efficiently.

 

Education

Minimum

  • Diploma / Degree in Teaching

Advantageous

  • Qualification in technology integration.

 

Legal Requirements (e.g. Driver’s License, Blasting Certificate, etc.)

Detail

  • Driver’s License

 

Experience (Minimum Experience Required - type and number of years)

Minimum

  • 2 – 3 years using technology in education
  • Demonstrate evidence-based teaching practice and action research
  • 2 – 3 years training on technology in education

 

Advantageous

  • Project management experience

Administer the creation of content and training materials

  • Create and manage training content development schedule
  • Determine mechanism for presentation of training (tutorials, webinars, face-to face)
  • Oversee the creation of content for training and design materials
  • Determine where to be hosted and upload as appropriate
  • Oversee the creation of links for sessions
  • Constantly review materials and update as required

Planning and logistics of training

  • Identify schools, departments and regions for training and plan date and time
  • Share training logistics and agendas
  • Payment of invoices for catering

Manage the facilitation of training

  • Co-ordinate the facilitation of training
  • Travel to different provinces and regions, as well as Namibia and Botswana. Training to peer coaches (champions at schools) to scale training at schools
  • Face to face training facilitation
  • Online training facilitation and management of webinars
  • Tutorial training
  • Facilitation of Q & A sessions
  • Facilitate best practice sessions with teachers
  • Moderation of professional learning communities

Implementation of technologies and business requirement projects

  • Co-ordinate project scope and implantation with relevant departments
  • Provide service desk support on platforms during peak times
  • Support new schools to get started on Curro systems
  • Testing of technologies for new implementations

  • Co-ordinate and oversee peer coaches programmes
  • Manage relationships with educators
  • Manage relationships with different role players at Head Office

Reporting

  • Oversee the collection of training feedback
  • Critically review data and review of feedback received
  • Compile reports to establish training success and number of training sessions and attendees
  • Create and run surveys to identify areas for improvement and report on changes
  • Make adjustments to training and approaches as per reports and statistics
