Position for Architectural Draftsman
Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare detailed architectural drawings for residential & commercial constructions projects/clients .
Create architectural drawings based on building specifications, calculations & sketches .
Visit building sites to collect measurements & dimensions as needed .
Analyse building specifications, codes, space to create architectural design.
Use CAD equipment & conventional drafting station to prepare drawings, charts and records
Develop electrical and structural designs to incorporate into architectural drawings.
Supervise and guide drafts person when needed
Work with architects to ensure that building project is in accordance with design specifications
Create technical drawings based on given specifications and calculations .
Incorporates specifications into drawings and plans that may be used in the manufacture, maintenance or repair of the product or structure.
Creating building designs and highly detailed drawings both by hand and by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications
Liaising with construction professionals about the feasibility of potential projects.
Working around constraining factors such as town planning legislation, environmental impact and project budget.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric .
Ndip in Construction or Civil OR similar qualifications.
2-3 years' experience is required
Auto CAD proficiency .
Computer Literate proficiency .
